3-Year Postgraduate Therapeutic Visual Arts Program
Artistic work brings us into closer connection with ourselves and with nature. It opens and reveals the inner world through the colors, forms, tones, and lines that we create.
Art shows us to ourselves and allows us to see, to adjust, to balance, and to harmonize that which can bring healing.
Hybrid In-Person/Online Program – Painting, Sculpture, Drawing, Form Drawing
Over the course of three years, students will develop their own artistic abilities, sensitivity, and knowledge of ma-terials and practices while moving through their own personal healing journey. They will also discover a deep un-derstanding of the subtle inner processes that allow the arts to heal others. In addition to artistic work, classes with Anthroposophic doctors, nurses, and counselors, will help students develop deep insights into the nature of the human being, healing processes, and professional practices. The program lays a deep and practical foundation of artistic work in the various mediums and in the philosophical background of healing arts through the study of texts by Liane Collot d’Herbois, Rudolf Steiner, and others.
Art becomes healing when the archetypal lawfulness of the medium and the integrity of the creative process are able to enter and work upon the human constitution and engage the self in activating life-giving forces.
