Established in 1995, Sebastopol Charter is a K-8 public charter school guided by the core principles of Public Waldorf Education.

www.madronetrail.org

The Madrone Trail Public Charter School is a public charter K-8 school that has been open in the Medford, Oregon school district since September 2007.

As a public charter school, there is no tuition and the school is open to anyone residing in Oregon. If demand exceeds spaces, preference is given to students residing within the Medford School district.

Madrone Trail adapts Waldorf educational methods to public education. The school features parent and community participation at all levels, including governance.

At Madrone Trail, movement and the arts are not add-ons to a predominately cognitive approach, but are integrated fully into all aspects of teaching. The inclusion of heart and hands is more than a technique for enlivening academic instruction. In a three-fold approach, the heart and the will, as well as the head, are the subjects of educational endeavor. In other words, the arts are not merely a means to an end– improved academic performance-but an end in themselves.

Golden Bridges School

Seeking an Early Childhood Co-Teacher, Lower Grades Class Teacher, Upper Grades Class Teacher, Middle School Support Teacher, Middle School Math Teacher, Faculty Chair and Educational Support Specialist- Updated 2/21/2022

www.goldenbridgesschool.org

Golden Bridges School is a small, groundbreaking school, founded in 2013 by Waldorf-trained teachers.
We currently serve preschool – 6th (growing to 8th), with 95 students and 25 staff members in San Francisco’s Portola neighborhood. Our urban farm is in Mission Terrace and outdoor classes and hikes are in McLaren Park.

GBS takes a fresh look at Waldorf education, asking what the children of today, in San Francisco, need from
teachers and education. One major result of this question is the development of a robust outdoor curriculum.
Preschool and Kindergarten rotate through an indoor classroom, urban farm, and hiking days. Grades classes are indoors for Main Lesson and some subject classes and outdoors in large parks, at the school farm, or on field trips.

We are also dedicated to becoming an anti-racist school – committed to social justice, internally and externally – that is inclusive and welcoming to all. We incorporate both anthroposophy and social justice to delve deeper into interrupting Euro- and White-centric curriculum to bring equitable teaching practices and anti-racist policies into the classroom and school life. We ask that teachers be interested and on a path of exploring both anthroposophy and social justice.

It is the operational policy of Golden Bridges School not to discriminate against any person on the basis of race, color, national origin, religion, sexual orientation or affectional preference, age, or handicap in any of its policies, procedures, or practices. This policy of non-discrimination covers school programs and activities, including but not limited to: academic, admissions, financial aid, educational services, and employment.

Golden Valley Tahoe School

Seeking Kindergarten Assistants and a 2nd Grade Class Teacher- Updated 8/23/21

www.tahoeschool.goldenvalleycharter.org

The Golden Valley Tahoe School’s grass roots beginnings mirror the hard work and determination of the pioneers of the first Golden Valley Charter School eighteen years ago. It was just a few years ago when a small group of preschool parents had a vision to create a public Waldorf school to provide families from all socioeconomic backgrounds access to an education previously available only at expensive private schools. They named this education group the Tahoe Truckee Waldorf Learning Group and had a dream for it to one day become a tuition-free public Waldorf school in the Truckee area. In January of 2018, Golden Valley Charter Schools was invited to write and manage the Tahoe Truckee Waldorf Group charter with the plan to open a Transitional Kindergarten through Second Grade Tuition-Free Public Waldorf School in September of 2018. The school will grow to be a TK-8th grade. The new name of the school is Golden Valley Tahoe School.

The Golden Valley community will continue the grass roots commitment to the values of Waldorf education and will foster the growth and sustainability of the school in a thoughtful way. Golden Valley Charter Schools looks forward to expanding the reach of public Waldorf opportunities in the Northern California region and many more years serving the children and families in the greater Sacramento and Placer County area.
