Waldorf School of the Peninsula (Nursery – Grade 12) is celebrating bringing Waldorf education to Northern California for 39 years. Our school has two beautiful campuses: early childhood through grade 5 in Los Altos, and a few miles away in Mountain View are grades 6-12. Star Song School

Star Song School has risen out of the desire to bring people together in St. Augustine who are interested in the works of Rudolf Steiner and his indications for educating the child. We opened our doors in September 2021 with a small, dedicated group of Kindergarten and First Grade parents. In 2023-24, we will have K-3, and will add a grade every year. Our intention is to follow a path that will lead us to becoming a full- member Waldorf School.
Now, as we go into our third year, Star Song School is seeking an experienced, self-motivated, Waldorf trained kindergarten teacher to partner with the founding teacher in furthering the development of the school. Much of the difficult first phase has been set in place, and on June 1st we move into a beautiful new school site with a large kindergarten space. Currently, 11 kindergarten children are enrolled, but local interest is high, and we are sure to enroll more by August. The primary goal of our program is to provide a safe, nourishing, joyful environment for children (6-8 years old) to learn and grow independently and interpersonally. We use the Waldorf method of engaging head, heart, and hands to create a holistic learning experience that immerses the whole person. We believe each child is a unique individual, with different physical, social, emotional, and intellectual needs. Our vision is to create opportunities that empower our children to become lifelong learners, connected to nature, themselves, and each other. TRA Ministries is based on the principles of self-ownership, intellectual and bodily autonomy, and the search for wholeness. We see TRA Ministries as an educational sanctuary for freedom loving families as well as a nurturing ground for the next generation of visionaries.
Camellia Waldorf School

We are located on the ancestral lands of the Maidu people in the serene Pocket Area of Sacramento CA. Founded in 1989, Camellia is an AWSNA-accredited school with 185 students from diverse backgrounds. Our 3-acre campus is nestled on the bank of the Sacramento River beneath towering pines. Camellia’s strong and devoted community boasts dedicated parents and friends, with a Board of Trustees made up of current parents, faculty members, and enthusiastic parents of long-graduated alums.
Camellia is committed to bringing the fullest curriculum to one of the most diverse Waldorf School student bodies in North America. We offer classes from preschool through eighth grade, and our program includes Spanish, Strings, Choir, Handwork, Woodworking, Movement, Gardening, Circus Arts, and Sports teams.
