Tuesday, February 24, 2026

What does Waldorf Early Childhood education look like at 12,000 feet in the Andean mountains—with a climate that moves through wet, dry, and windy as well as hot and cold seasons? Sarita has taught early childhood at Kusi Kawsay for over 15 years. She has evolved the curriculum and daily routines to be a good fit for the young children of their geography and culture.

Tuesday, March 3, 2026

In the 1970’s, Children of the Rainforest was created as a nonprofit by Jack Allen to support the Indigenous Moseten and Tsimane people of the Pilón Lajas Biosphere Reserve in Bolivia. Carolina has taken up the work established by her father and, as a Waldorf teacher, has been advocating for and supporting a Waldorf approach as these communities work to improve the schooling of their children. As an Early Childhood teacher and artist, Carolina has been actively helping to gather their traditional stories and encouraging the development of artistic ways of teaching.

Carolina has been teaching in Waldorf education for over 25 years. She is graduate of the Eugene Waldorf Teacher Training and of the BACWTT Healing Through Art Program.
