We have expanded our Summer Arts Festival to four separate sessions. All sessions take place at the East Bay Waldorf School alongside the summer session of the teacher training program, making for a lively population of striving students and fellow travelers.
Session I: Young People's Festival, June 22-26
For the first time ever we will offer a Young People's Festival, entitled Yearning for Spirit in Our Time. Open to young people up to age 28. The week includes the arts, some insights into anthroposophy, and time to work in the garden. Each evening will feature a different activity or presentation. You do NOT have to be a Waldorf graduate to attend. .
Session II: Arts Intensives, June 29 - July 3
Open to all. Choose classes from the Musical Stream or the Sculptural Stream. Prior experience in the arts not necessary. A rejuvenating week for anyone. .
Session III: Waldorf Seminar with Christof Wiechert, July 6-10
Open to Waldorf professionals only. Supported by daily classes in the arts, Christof will address the topic of Common Sense and Presence of Mind as Guiding Principles in the Waldorf School.
Session IV: Waldorf for Grown-Ups with Deborah Krikorian, July 13-17
Open to all. An excellent overview of what makes Waldorf education unique. If you've ever wanted to be a Waldorf student; wanted to understand what your children do at the Waldorf school; wanted insights into what happens in the Waldorf classroom; or considered taking the teacher training without being quite ready to make that commitment, this course is for you. Ideal for home-schoolers.
