Live Oak is pleased to announce that it is seeking a first grade teacher for its growing rural campus beginning the 2018/19 school year.
Purpose and Scope of Job: The grades class teacher is responsible for planning the daily, weekly and block rhythms of the year. These plans are developed in accordance with the principles of Waldorf pedagogy and in light of the needs of the class. The grades class teacher is also responsible for deepening his/her understanding of Anthroposophy, child development and seeking out new materials for his/her teaching.
The ideal candidate will have at least an undergraduate degree and completed Waldorf teacher training.
Situated in beautiful, sunny Northern California, Live Oak Waldorf School is fully accredited by AWSNA, serving 150 students from Nursery through Eighth Grade. 2017-2018 Holy Nights Journals Available

New Vacaville Home-Based Waldorf Preschool
We are a group of young parents in the process of opening a home-based Waldorf preschool in Vacaville, California. This initiative serves as a starting point for making Waldorf education possible in the Solano County area. We are now looking for an enthusiastic and fully trained Waldorf Early Childhood Teacher to help us make our vision a reality.
This position has the option of living on this beautiful .89 acre property, which has the advantage of saving the high rental expenses in our area. The property for this project is purchased and owned by a Waldorf parent.

The commitment would be:
Monday-Friday, 12:15-5:30pm (if not available Monday through Friday, then at least available for 4 days out of the week)
Requirements: Someone who wants to be there and learn. Experience, training, background are all relative but not as necessary as someone’s solid intention and integrity. Someone who is yearning to make Waldorf/ Early Childhood as part of their career. If they have EC units, great. But if not, Berkeley Rose is willing to support the candidate towards that path.

Preschool Assistant Position
Berkeley Rose Waldorf School is seeking an assistant teacher starting in September. The ideal candidate for the assistant teaching position has experience working with young children and has some knowledge of Waldorf Education. The assistant will be working closely with the lead master teacher. We expect all teachers to be committed to self-development, parent work, and open, direct communication with colleagues and parents.
This is a weekly part-time position during the academic year. Additional hours may be available during school breaks and summer camp. Nursery assistants will work 8am-2pm, Monday-Friday. Hourly wage is $18-22, DOE.
Applicants applying for a position in our licensed nursery are required to have 12 qualifying early childhood education units obtained by their start date. (9 EC Credits suffice as well as long as the applicant is registered to finish the remaining 3).
